Working in harmony with pocket springs, mattresses made with pure natural fillings are hard to beat and represent a significant part of our catalogue. Natural fillings such as wool, cotton, alpaca, and silk perfectly compliments pocket springs and sit on either side of the spring system to regulate your body temperature and provide extra comfort.

Pocket springs themselves are individually wrapped in a breathable fabric pocket which is then stitched to the adjoining spring’s pocket. This enables each spring to moulds to the shape of your body and offer the perfect support. The breathable spring casing further encourages airflow throughout the interior of the mattress, keeping you, and the mattress, fresh and dry throughout the night.

Foams and man-made fibres don’t allow air to circulate as freely so can sleep considerably warmer. When you consider that foam is used in many ways as insulation, it’s obvious that it has qualities less desirable in a mattress.
