The Manor Rose Clarendon divan bed has a softer feel mattress that contains 2400 individually pocketed springs for targeted body support and comfort. The bed is ideal for those who are seeking a high quality option with pure natural fillings for a comfortable and supportive nights sleep. The Clarendon is hand made in Lancashire where the experienced craftsmen use time honoured techniques to manufacture premium mattress, namely hand side stitching, hand tufting and hand sewing flag stitched handles. Such accuracy enables the Manor Rose factory to offer a full 10 year mattress guarantee.

A Soft, Comfortable and Responsive Bed

The Manor Rose Clarendon mattress contains a total of 2400 pocketed springs; a 1000 pocket spring system that is topped with a layer of 700 soft series pocket springs on both sides for an extremely responsive feel. A high spring count will give more independent support, spreading the sleepers weight more evenly across the mattress, making it perfect for two people of different statures. The pocket springs are secured to the edge of the mattress by two rows of genuine hand side stitching.

Genuine hand side stitching is a labour intensive process involving the perimeter rows of pocket springs to be directly sewn to the side panels of the mattress to give complete and absolute edge to edge support and prevent the side panels from bulking out over time.

The Benefits of Pure Cotton

The Manor Rose Clarendon mattress is upholstered with luxurious fibres that offer comfort and breath-ability. Cotton fibres offer softness and deal with moisture fantastically well; making cotton comfortable in hot weather. Cotton gives a soft feel and has an excellent ability to breathe to ensure you a healthy nights sleep. Hessian is derived from the skin of the Jute plant and is used for insulating the mattress spring, offering breath-ability without affecting the free movement of the spring. White fibre is a synthetic upholstery which is a man-made substitute for the more traditional style hair fillings, it has good resilience and is much more cost-effective to produce than horse-hair, but does not have the same responsiveness.

Luxurious Natural Fillings

Lambswool is added due to its naturally resilence, creating a luxurious feel with good fire retardant properties. Lambswool also absorbs dampness or moisture from perspiration and moves it across the fibres without becoming wet itself. Finally, a cashmere, wool and silk pad creates a luxurious comfort layer on the surface of the mattress These three fibres are lustrous, long and strong hair has distinctive properties offering great durability, resistance to moisture-wicking, stretch, flame and crease. They are also warm as they have great insulating properties.

A Choice of Base Type and Colour

This bed is available with a wide choice of base options and fabrics which enable you to configure both how the bed looks and your type of storage options, if required. Manor Rose Base Types Explained

Platform Base: A firmer option available in a shallow depth on legs (15cm), or as a standard height (36cm) with or without storage drawers.
Firm Edge Base: Pocket springs are encased by a wooden perimeter, firming up the edges of the mattress for edge to edge support, the pocket springs provide the sleeper with more support and a softer feel. Available in a shallow depth on legs (15cm), or as a standard height (36cm) with or without storage drawers.
Sprung Edge Base: Our softest option. Pocket springs are used to the edge of the base for a much softer feel, the base is only available in a standard depth of 36cm and is available with our without storage drawers.
Ottoman Storage: Available in both End lift or side lift in Single (90cm), Double (135cm), King (150cm) and Superking (180cm) sizes only.
