The Manor Rose Balmoral Adjustable Bed mattress is a softer feel luxury pocket sprung mattress that is made exclusively for us at Jones & Tomlin, handmade in Lancashire using the finest materials. The Balmoral adjustable mattress is specifically adapted to suit adjustable bed bases of the matching size where both the head end and the foot end raise as required.

2000 Pocket Springs

The Manor Rose Balmoral mattress contains 2000 pocketed springs (based on a king-size mattress). The Balmoral mattress features this unique pocket spring support system that is designed to give complete support at all times whilst minimising roll together. A pocket sprung mattress is the perfect choice for sleepers of different weights and heights. The pocket springs are secured to the mattress border with twine which is used for the genuine hand side-stitching on Genuine side-stitching can take up to 8 hours per mattress, a skill only acquired by the most accomplished craftsmen employed by the mattress manufacturer’s elite.

Cool and Comfortable Natural Materials.

The Balmoral adjustable mattress is filled with an array of natural fibres, each with their own specific properties that will offer comfort, support and breath-ability. Natural hessian insulator layer which is hand stitched to the spring system, encouraging airflow without affecting the free movement of the springs. White fibre is used as it offers great resilience. Cotton fibres offer softness and breath-ability; making cotton comfortable in hot weather. Cotton gives a soft feel and has an excellent ability to breathe to ensure you a healthy nights sleep.

Finally, lambswool is added due to its naturally resilience, creating a luxurious feel with good fire retardant properties. Because lambs wool is a by-product of a natural fibre, it has hydroscopic properties that enable it to absorb dampness or moisture from perspiration and moves it across the fibres without becoming wet itself.

Hand Crafted in Manchester

The Balmoral mattress is handmade in Lancashire and is fully turnable for longevity. The mattress is hand tufted with wool tufts and also features solid nickel mesh ventilators and reinforced flag stitched handles.

The mattress has two rows genuine hand side stitching. Genuine hand side stitching is a labour intensive process involving the perimeter rows of pocket springs to be directly sewn to the side panels of the mattress to give complete and absolute edge to edge support and prevent the side panels from bulking out over time.
