Description

The Manor Rose Clarendon bed is a fantastic handmade model available in a choice of soft, medium or firmer feel with a large selection of base colours and storage options to choose from. The mattress features 2000 pocket springs and is upholstered both sides of the spring unit with luxurious natural fillings, including hessian, cotton, wool, cashmere and silk. The bed is handmade in Lancashire by a family run business that manufactures, without compromise, hand crafted, quality mattresses that offer unparalleled comfort and support.

This mattress requires turning, buying a mattress that requires turning ensures the mattress will last longer as it is upholstered on both sides of the spring unit, unsightly and uncomfortable dipping will be avoided as the upholstery will settle naturally as the mattress is turned and rotated. This bed is supplied with a 12 year manufacturers guarantee as standard.

Supportive Pocket Springs with Edge to Edge Support and Hand Side Stitching

This mattress features 2000 individually pocketed springs (based on a king-size mattress) housed in a soft and luxurious 100% viscose chemical free mattress fabric. Pocket springs work completely individually from each other which gives you a greater level of support, this is because the springs can adapt to the shape of your body with no friction against each other. This also means that you are less likely to disturb your partner if you move a lot in the night as this movement will not transfer across the bed.

The edge of this mattress is supported in two ways, ensuring the mattress will provide years of trouble free use, and provide support to the very edge of the mattress. 2 Rows of hand side stitching works in unison with a firmer row of pocket springs on each side of the mattress, a unique approach by Manor Rose that avoids the use of uncomfortable support wires or foam encapsulation that can build up the heat of the mattress.

Pure Natural Fillings for a cooler nights sleep

The mattress is upholstered with luxurious fibres that offer comfort and breath-ability. Cotton fibres offer softness and coolness; making cotton comfortable in hot weather. Cotton gives a soft feel and has an excellent ability to breathe to ensure you a healthy nights sleep. Hessian is derived from the skin of the Jute plant and is used for insulating the mattress spring, helping airflow without affecting the free movement of the spring. Cashmere and silk are naturally temperature regulating, wicking away excess moisture from the skin and offering a soft and comfortable feel within the mattress.

White fibre is a synthetic upholstery which is a man-made substitute for the more traditional style hair fillings, it has good resilience and is much more cost-effective to produce than horse-hair, but does not have the same responsiveness.
