The bed is completely hand-upholstered and hand-crafted to create a superb yet affordable bed that offers incredible comfort. The bed is an excellent value for money choice from master bed maker's Vispring. Vispring pioneered the pocket spring more than a century ago and the company has been the leading specialist in mattress spring technology ever since. The Baronet Superb bed contains 1326* pocket springs that are 54mm in diameter, sewn into individual calico pockets and hand formed into a honeycomb-nested unit. The mattress sit on Visprings 31cm firm edge pocket sprung bed base, available with or without storage drawers in a full range of fabrics.

The Vispring Baronet Superb bed is upholstered with horsehair that is needle-teased onto hessian and enclosed in a hair-proof camric cover. Horsetail has been an essential element of upholstery in bed making for centuries. Vispring uses only the finest Moosburger horsetail for the Baronet Superb bed – the long, supple and silky hairs have an inherent strength and springiness that makes it the perfect mattress filling.

The horsehair is overlaid with 1,000gsm bonded British fleece wool and cotton. Wool is used for its intrinsic qualities; including its natural flame resistance, making it the perfect fillings for a Vispring mattress, as it provides long-lasting structure and comfort. Cotton fibres are also used for their natural breath-ability and absorbency. The Baronet Superb bed mattress is covered with your choice of the finest Belgian ticking from the Vispring fabric collection, and is hand tufted with felt washers.

Each divan and mattress is made with a unique combination of spring numbers, gauges and shapes, you can personalise these with your preferred choices. The divan set is available in a choice of tensions, soft, medium and firm or extra firm spring tension. The mattress also benefits from two rows of genuine hand side stitching for a supportive mattress edge.

The Plymouth divan is available in a choice of four sizes only. Double, King, Superking and Superking Zip/Link – all of which are firm edge*, 31cm deep and available with or without Plymouth storage drawers. Non Supplementary fabrics are only available with the Plymouth divan with a choice of a 5cm matt black castor or Visprings 5cm L2 Ebony wooden leg, which carries a surcharge.
