The Vispring Dartington bed features over 1500* pocket springs, made from Vanadium steel offering flexibility and strength. The Dartington bed is lovingly upholstered with Platinum Certified British fleece wool and cotton upholstery filings, to provide the signature feel of a true Vispring Bed with an exceptional level of comfort. Each bed is made with a unique combination of spring numbers, gauges and shapes, to give an incredible range of sleeping options. You can personalise these with your preferred soft, medium, firm or extra firm spring tensions for your perfect Vispring bed.
Supportive Pocket Springs
The bed contains 1,558* pocket springs in the mattress, the pocket springs are sewn into individual calico pockets and hand formed into a honeycomb-nested unit. Vispring places every spring under compression in natural calico pockets, so they offer immediate resistance to your body weight. The pockets contain the springs while allowing them to work independently, gently supporting you from head to toe as you sleep. The bed is upholstered with 1,000gsm bonded British fleece wool & cotton, 600gsm of Platinum Certified British fleece wool overlaid with 1200gsm blended fleece wool and cotton. Britain's changeable climate produces wool that is uniquely soft, springy and strong.

Vispring is the only bed maker to use 100% Platinum Certified British fleece wool – regarded as the best in the world – from the windswept Shetland Isles and locally sourced Devonshire fleeces. Hypo-allergenic, breathable and ten times more absorbent than synthetic materials, British wool is the ideal filling for mattresses and divans. Produced in keeping with age-old traditions and with no harm to sheep, it works in harmony with your body to regulate your temperature and ensure long-lasting comfort.
The luxury upholstery fillings inside the bed are all covered in your choice of the finest Belgian ticking from the Vispring fabric collection, the mattress is hand tufted with felt washers and benefits from two rows of genuine hand side stitching with flax twine. This gives the Dartington mattress an exquisite, tailored finish, but more importantly it gives supportive strength to the mattress edges that lesser beds need a metal rod to achieve.
The Perfect Companion
The Dartington mattress partners the Vispring Prestige divan base, 950* pocketed springs on a glued and screwed solid timber frame. A 1,200gsm natural coir pad is overlaid with 1,200gsm blended British fleece wool and cotton, and once again in your choice of the finest Belgian fabrics available in a multitude of colours and prints.

This free service includes a two-man delivery team (uniformed and fully trained in furniture delivery), delivery to your room of choice and allocated time slots.
Assembly of your new bed and recycling of your old bed are available upon request. These chargeable services must be ordered at the time of purchase and is subject to postcode.
