The Vispring Devonshire bed is made by Vispring, innovators of the modern wool upholstered pocket spring bed, who are extending their unique range with the introduction of a new all-wool bed – the Vispring Devonshire. Each mattress is generously hand-filled with the finest pure British fleece wool from South Molton, Devon, and Platinum Certified by the British Wool Marketing Board.
Platinum Certified British Fleece Wool
The Vispring Devonshire bed uses only the highest quality platinum certified British fleece wool produced on Devonshire farms, which is both sustainable and truly local. British fleece wool is both soft and supportive, with an inherent springiness that resists pressure – it is generally recognised as one of the finest materials for bed upholstery. It has a natural flame resistance, meaning that no chemical fire retardancy treatments have to be used. Moreover, the unique composition of fibres gives outstanding temperature control, keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer, enhancing the quality of your sleep.
The Vispring Devonshire bed, Pocket Springs and Sumptious Fillings that mould to your Body
The bed contains 1,326* pocket springs that are sewn into individual calico pockets and hand formed into a honeycomb-nested unit. Each spring works to shape your Vispring mattress to your body, adjusting to your movements to provide constant, cradling support without areas of pressure. The springs work with the bed's upholstery, providing a perfect balance of strength and softness. The supple springs return to their original shape after use, maintaining the structure and integrity of your mattress for longer.
The mattress is only available in mattress fabric tick 596 from the Vispring fabric collection, and is hand tufted with hand-tied woollen tufts and twine and benefits from two rows of genuine hand side stitching with flax twine. This gives the mattress an exquisite, tailored finish, but more importantly it gives supportive strength to the mattress edges that lesser beds need a metal rod to achieve.
The Devonshire Wool Deluxe Divan Base
The mattress partners the Vispring Wool Deluxe divan base, featuring 600* pocketed springs on a glued and screwed solid timber frame. Two layers of 250gsm heavily needled British fleece wool, overlaid with 600gsm softly needled British fleece wool, and once again in your choice of the finest quality ticking.

This free service includes a two-man delivery team (uniformed and fully trained in furniture delivery), delivery to your room of choice and allocated time slots.
Assembly of your new bed and recycling of your old bed are available upon request. These chargeable services must be ordered at the time of purchase and is subject to postcode.
