The Vispring Shetland Superb mattress is a luxury pure wool mattress, offering all the distinctive sensations, comfort and quality that a Vispring mattress should. The mattress bears the prestigious Woolmark in testimony to its unrivaled quality. The mattress is generously upholstered in pure hand-teased real Shetland Isle wool with softly needled British fleece wool; and has a covering of worsted wool fabric and woollen tufts.

The mattress contains a total of 2,856* pocketed springs that are 60mm in diameter, arranged over two layers of springs, sewn into individual calico pockets and hand formed into a honeycomb-nested unit. Vispring places every spring under compression in natural calico pockets, so they offer immediate resistance to your body weight. The pockets contain the springs while allowing them to work independently, gently supporting you from head to tow as you sleep. Vispring craftsmen hand-nest the pocket springs in a honeycomb pattern that maximises the support offered by each bed and minimises the gaps, for exceptional resilience and comfort in every mattress and divan.
The Vispring Shetland Superb Mattress, featuring Shetland Isle Fleece Wool
The mattress is generously upholstered with 600gsm of softly needled British fleece wool, then 950gsm hand-teased real Shetland Isle fleece wool, overlaid with two layers of British fleece wool. VI-Spring is unique among mattress makers in using real Shetland wool fleeces. Real Shetland wool is produced using a cruelty-free, traditional process. Vispring only uses fleece wool that is shorn without harming the sheep.
The Vispring Shetland Superb mattress has a 23cm deep mattress border that features three rows of genuine hand side-stitching. Eight horizontal handles on a king-size model and above and air vents on all sides. Finally the borders are upholstered with protective lambswool and finished with piped ticking. The Shetland Superb mattress is also hand tufted with hand-tied woollen tufts and twine.

Assembly of your new bed and recycling of your old bed are available upon request. These chargeable services must be ordered at the time of purchase and is subject to postcode.
