The Vispring Sublime Superb mattress is the epitome of quality – a traditional, firmer feel Vispring mattress filled with Platinum Certified British fleece and Shetland wool. Offering a reassuringly traditional feel coupled with an extra sprinkling of Vispring luxury; the mattress includes a sophisticated blend of natural fillings to deliver a relaxing combination of luxurious comfort and exceptional support.
A Unique Spring Arrangement
The mattress contains no less than 2520* pocket springs (51mm in diameter) are sewn into individual calico pockets and hand-formed into a honeycomb nested unit containing two layers of springs. This unique spring arrangement has a supportive, comfortable feel that responds to variable pressures. The top layer moves with the shape of your body, whilst the second layer offers extra support. This dual layer of springs ensures that the mattress continues to support you properly through the lifetime of the mattress. The mattress is upholstered with British fleece wool, 1,525gsm of hand-teased and long-stranded horsetail blended with real Shetland Isle fleece wool and a silk and mohair mix. These fillings are enclosed in a hair-proof cambric cover and overlaid with 1,200gsm of blended, real Shetland Isle fleece wool and cotton.

Vispring is the only luxury bed maker to use real Shetland wool in its mattresses. In fact, more than one quarter of the annual Shetland Islands’ wool production finds itself in a Vispring mattress. The horsetail in this mattress is blended with the silk, Shetland Isle lamb’s wool and mohair, to create a luxury mattress with incredible breath-ability, softness and support. The horsetail and other fine natural fillings are laid over the bed of honeycombed pocket springs, ready for the final hand finishing. This is all wrapped in your choice of fine worsted wool upholstery fabric from the Vispring collection.
The Vispring Sublime Superb mattress is hand-tufted with hand-tied woollen tufts and twine and benefits from four rows of genuine hand side stitching with flax twine. This gives the mattress an exquisite, tailored finish, but more importantly it gives supportive strength to the mattress edges that lesser beds need a metal rod to achieve.
