For over a century, Vispring have been refining the subtle art of pairing the perfect combination of spring size, tension and resilience with the finest materials nature has to offer. This mattress is upholstered with 250gsm Wool, Tencel, Bamboo and soft and supportive Alpaca that works in harmony with 1200gsm Horsehair blended with wool, and 2 x 900gsm Layered British Wool and cotton pads. This impressive upholstery mix sits either side of 1326 hand nested pocket springs.

Unlike synthetic materials, the natural properties of wool inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi and dust mites. It is a clean, hygienic filling that is hypoallergenic.

Hand Nested Spring for Added Support

The mattress contains a total of 1326 hand-nested pocket springs (based on a king-size model) that are 51mm in diameter, they are hand-nested in a honeycomb pattern by their experienced craftsmen to maximize the support offered by the mattress. This mattress has a 21cm deep mattress border that features two rows of genuine hand side-stitching. Eight horizontal handles on a king-size model and above and air vents on all sides. Finally, the borders are upholstered with protective lambswool and finished with piped ticking. This mattress is hand tufted with felt washers and benefits from two rows of genuine hand side stitching with flax twine for edge to edge support.
